    Medical Director & DVM

    Dr. Ron is a seasoned veterinarian with a profound passion for animal welfare. He takes immense pride in being a cornerstone of our nonprofit, where he serves as the managing veterinarian. Dr. Ron is dedicated to setting the gold standard for exceptional veterinary care at affordable prices. With a successful private practice under his belt, he retired briefly before the allure of medicine and his commitment to our mission brought him back. His extensive knowledge and experience have saved countless lives. Dr. Ron's leadership and expertise are invaluable assets to our team.

  • Brooke Taliaferro

    Executive Director

    Brooke has always had a profound love for animals, inspiring her lifelong dream of a career in veterinary medicine. Her diverse professional journey encompasses emergency medicine, specialty care, and day practice, demonstrating her versatility and dedication to animal welfare. Passionate about giving back, Brooke has volunteered with Wildlife Safari, expanding her expertise to include exotic animals. A stint abroad further enriched her knowledge of diverse species. Her commitment extends beyond animals, as she holds an education in psychology and is deeply invested in mental health. Brooke's entrepreneurial spirit shines through in her co-ownership of a marketing company with her father. This unique blend of business acumen and compassion makes her an ideal candidate for the Executive Director position at CVC. She is driven to create a positive impact on both animals and their human companions. Her personal connection to animals is evident in her own Rottweiler and her involvement in innovative projects such as the dog park initiative and a blood program. Brooke's ability to bridge the gap between animals and people, coupled with her strong business sense, positions her as a dynamic leader poised to elevate CVC to new heights.

    Lead CVT

    Leslie is a passionate advocate for nonprofits dedicated to making a tangible difference in the lives of low-income individuals and their beloved pets. Her heart lies in helping those in need, and she couldn't imagine a more fulfilling career.

    As a certified veterinary technician, Leslie has been an integral part of the CVC team since its inception in 2011. Her unwavering compassion and kindness have been instrumental in building a strong foundation for the clinic. Leslie's dedication to providing quality care to animals in need has been the driving force behind her career, and she has worked tirelessly to ensure CVC continues its mission of serving the low-income community.

  • Bella

    Veterinary Assistant

    Bella is a passionate animal lover with a special place in her heart for beagles. Her furry best friend, a beagle, keeps her company on countless adventures. Did you know beagles have an incredible sense of smell, often used for hunting and tracking? Bella shares this fascination with the breed and has made it her mission to care for all animals.

    With a Veterinary Assistant certification from Lane Community College, Bella is a valuable member of our team. She started her journey with us as a dedicated volunteer, eager to learn and grow in the veterinary field. Bella quickly became an invaluable asset, sharing our commitment to helping low-income pet owners. Her hard work and compassion have earned her a well-deserved full-time position as one of our star veterinary assistants.

  • Cassidy Vough

    CVT

    Cassie was born and raised in the beautiful Napa Valley, California where she first fell in love with veterinary medicine. She has always had a passion for animals and remembers being drawn to any animal she came across. Cassie became an RVT (Registered Veterinary Technician) in September of 2023 and just transferred her licensure to CVT (Certified Veterinary Technician) in Oregon. She moved to Oregon in October of 2023 and joined the Wilvet South team as a Veterinary Nurse, now CVT. She finds herself at home in the world of veterinary medicine because it combines her love for animals and passion for biology and medicine.

    Cassie shares her home with her three cats, Tiki, Parsnip and Stevie. She loves exploring her new home in Oregon and spending time in the beautiful nature it has to offer.

  • Valerie Molinari

    DVM

    Dr. Valerie is a compassionate veterinarian with a deep-rooted love for animals. Fluent in both English and Spanish, she is dedicated to providing accessible care to the community. Beyond her clinical expertise, Dr. Valerie is a passionate advocate for mental health, bringing a unique perspective to animal care. Her commitment to the well-being of both animals and their human companions shines through in her work. A true team player, she infuses the clinic with kindness and positivity, making a positive impact on both staff and clients. When not tending to patients, Dr. Valerie finds fulfillment in providing relief work for our nonprofit, further demonstrating her dedication to animal welfare.

  • Robyn Wallace-Blanchard

    Board President

    Robyn Wallace-Blanchard is a retired Educational Psychologist and consultant. She worked for over 32 years for Lane Education Service District based primarily in Florence. There she conducted educational nero-psychological evaluations and supervised the district threat assessment and tragedy response teams. While working for the Siuslaw School District, she was accompanied by two certified Therapy Dogs. It was the recent loss of one of her dogs that lead her to the Community Veterinary Center where she was so impressed by the staff and facility that she is now serving on the board.

  • Tish Bottensek

    Board Treasurer

    Tish graduated from Lane Community College in 2012 with an Associate's Degree in Art History and a second Associate's Degree in English. Later, she transferred to Bushnell University graduating with honors, earning a Bachelor's Degree in English in 2014. The same year, Tish successfully wrote a grant for the Community Veterinary Center and secured a $7,500 grant through the Banfield Foundation. Subsequently, the grant was revised and ultimately secured additional funding for the center. Tish joined the board in 2021, initially serving as the Donation Manager before transitioning to the role of Treasurer.

  • Misty Frost

    Board Secretary

    In 2017, Misty graduated from Lane Community College with an Associate's Degree in Criminal Justice. Her time as a patient at the Community Veterinary Center sparked her passion for the cause. In 2021, Misty began volunteering at the clinic as a landscaper, and through her hard work, she transformed the grounds into a beautiful oasis. In 2024, Misty joined the board and later became the Board Secretary.

  • Rustie Ackland
